I can remember a time as commo team chief where I worked two days on days, off 24 hrs, two days on swing, off 24 hours, two days on grave, 24 hrs off and then start again all over the next week. I received comments about how I looked.
I worked nights (7PM – 7AM) most of my first tour in SEA. I couldn’t believe I was in Asia and had no tan! Second tour was different … 12 hours a day on day shift. Quite the tan man.
