Yup, I’d have to agree with the Coasties statement. You can have that Arctic cold weather duty. What happens when you can’t put on any more layers and you’re still cold? Give me the warm waters of the Persian Gulf anytime … the nice scenic harbor at Basra. Inhaling warm oil well fires … “I love the smell of oil well fires in the morning” … not as common as “I love the smell of napalm in the morning” but still catchy. Be safe Coasties.
