Hmmmmm … kimchi from Korea … what about that spicy hot fish sauce from SE Asia? Who can forget the little round pices of meat on a stick called “monkey balls” in Thailand? Every geographic area has its favorites. Let’s not forget the beers either … sit back and you can taste them all over again.

My Dad and Uncle brought back from the Korean War a deep love of kimchee. I am here in Korea learning all that I can about making it in all of it’s flavors and textures so that I can share with the family. Many cousins & my siblings ask several times a year about the different remembered flavors that our Dads would recreate in GrandMa’s kitchen or buy in some city and bring to us. It certainly is a taste to last many lifetimes ☺
