I think my separation physical was even more thorough than my entrance physical! But you’ve got to hand it to the military medical personnel. They were filled with compassion for you if you were injured. While overseas I had gotten my left leg smashed up pretty goood and was on crutches for 2 weeks. In their infinite wisdom and concern for the mission, they also gave me a 24 hour duty excuse! I humped bombs 12 hours a day, what good was a 24 hour duty excuse? Ya gotta love it.
